The words liqueurs and cordials are used interchangeably. Thanks so much for making such a detailed and easy to follow instructable. Many readers are advanced brewers and they wrote in with advice and encouragement. The weak portion on the end, "tail", is discarded along with the head, and they are generally mixed with another batch of low wine, thereby entering the distillation cycle again. Not only that, but it can pose a risk to the people around the person drinking.
